QinetiQ’s IT organisation is evolving to provide the advanced technology and IT services that underpin QinetiQ’s future global strategy and ambitions. We are now accepting applications for a suitably experienced IT Solution Architect, with a background in ERP’s, to join our IT family.

As member of QinetiQ’s IT Architecture team, the IT Solution Architect will play a key role in the design and implementation of QinetiQ’s key digital transformation programs, including

  • Azure/M365 platforms;
  • Oracle Fusion ERP; and
  • Service Management systems in the form or ServiceNow.

This role comes with true flexibility based either out of Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne or Nowra and also offering a hybrid working from home and office environment and the option of compressed hours.

As an IT Solution Architect you will be accountable to:

  • Design fit-for-purpose architectures, lead feasibility assessments, develop business cases, and support implementation, testing, and transition to operations;
  • Apply ERP knowledge (e.g. finance, HR, supply chain) to guide solution design and integration, and alignment with business processes and data models;
  • Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document solution requirements, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and project objectives;
  • Provide strategic guidance and subject matter expertise across a broad range of systems, platforms, and enterprise technologies;
  • Support the development of long-term product and system roadmaps by identifying future capability needs and technology opportunities; and
  • Contribute to QinetiQ’s global architectural standards, practices and forums, ideally in a lead role in one or more technology domains.

As a suitably experienced IT professional, the IT Solution Architect will need:

  • Solid experience in an IT Solution Architect, or similar role;
  • Proven experience in the planning, design, development and implementation of major/complex IT solution;
  • Solid experience of M365/Azure Infrastructures and other cloud technologies;
  • Proven and effective problem solving skills with the ability to develop creative and innovative alternative solutions; and
  • Strong understanding of cyber and information security principles and how these are applied in a technology and IT environments.

Whilst not essential, a tertiary qualification or architectural certification, such as TOGAF or Azure Certified Solutions Architect would be advantageous.
