The Role:

As a Pensions & Benefits Lead you will be responsible for managing the principal non-cash components of the QinetiQ reward offering – including DC pension, UK flexible benefits, along with representing the Company in managing the closed UK Defined Benefit pension scheme.

The role also is accountable for the management of the key suppliers supporting Global Mobility activity.

Day-to-day, you’ll be an integral part of a busy and well-respected Total Reward Team, supporting our People Function and interacting with HR leaders, key suppliers, and stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing our UK Defined Contribution pension scheme, including liaison with pension providers and advisors, and acting as our UK Pensions subject matter expert.
  • Managing our flexible benefits plan, including ongoing liaison with our benefit brokers, providers, and the flexible benefits administrator to ensure the plan is delivering value for our people as part of a compelling total reward offer
  • Support the Group Reward Director and key stakeholders in the Finance function to oversee operations in our closed Defined Benefit pension scheme.

Essential experience of the Pension and Benefits Lead:

  • Experience of managing UK benefits plans (medical, life assurance, disability benefits, etc) in a Flexible Benefits environment.
  • Experience of renewal cycles in a flexible benefits plan
  • Experience with managing UK DC pension schemes
  • Commercial acumen to manage suppliers effectively and efficiently
  • Experience with the management of UK DB pension schemes an advantage
  • Exposure to Global Mobility processes and suppliers an advantage

Essential qualifications for the Pension and Benefits Lead:

  • HR professional with reward expertise and demonstratable experience in UK pension and benefits.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to influence through collaborative behaviours.

This role is full time (37 hours per week) based at our Farnborough site.

Occasional travel to other QinetiQ sites in the UK to support our People team, meet with key stakeholders, and understand how employee benefits matter to employees on the front line of our operations is an important part of this role.
