We are currently accepting applications for a Technician (Mechanical) to join our team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a wide array of unique mechanical fabrication related projects collaborating with fellow peers, engineers, project managers and clients. This role requires a highly adaptable and detail-oriented individual who possesses a strong mechanical trade.

The Technician – Mechanical will be accountable for:

  • Performing a high-level of mechanical fabrication tasks CNC and manual industrial plant, equipment and tools
  • Reading and understanding engineering schematics and assembly drawings
  • Accurate management and configuration of designs, including working to the correct Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Supporting fabrication estimates and quotes
  • Safely and competently operating equipment and promoting a safety driven culture
  • Supporting a high-performance work culture, promoting teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement

As a suitably experienced and well- rounded Mechanical Technician you will have:

  • Minimum Trade Certificate III (Mechanical)
  • Fitter/turner, toolmaker or machinist background
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, processes, equipment and materials
  • Ability to assemble, install and modify
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and adherence to industry standards
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities in a timely fashion to the required quality standard
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible for an NV1 Australian Defence security clearance. Current security clearance is advantageous.
