QinetiQ is evolving to provide the technology and IT services that will underpin QinetiQ’s future global strategy and ambitions. We are now accepting applications for a Project Manager ERP (Oracle) to lead and manage the implementation of Oracle’s Cloud ERP solution for QinetiQ. Ideally, this position will be based in Canberra, noting other capital cities will also be considered for the right candidate. This position is a two-year max term contract.
Reporting to the program sponsor, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Oracle ERP Project Manager will provide effective leadership in managing, influencing and guiding the implementation of Oracle’s Cloud ERP solution across QinetiQ’s Australian operation as part of a transformational, global Oracle Cloud ERP implementation.
As the Project Manager ERP (Oracle) you will be accountable for:
- Effectively managing assigned projects through all areas of the project lifecycle, including scoping, analysis, design, delivery and handover;
- Effective project resource planning including development and ongoing maintenance;
- Effective management and reporting of all aspects of project performance;
- Producing project reports for governance groups, senior management and other stakeholders as required, including budget, scheduling and resource forecasts and utilisation;
- Ensuring project interdependencies are identified, agreed, managed and delivered between the projects, business areas and external vendors, resolving technical and/or resource contention;
- Providing leadership, mentoring and coaching for project team members and stakeholders;
- Ensuring effective business change management of assigned projects in partnership with key stakeholders and business representatives;
- Managing risks, opportunities and issues of assigned projects; and
- Liaising and maintaining working relationships with key staff, projects, functions and third party partners to drive solution outcomes.
As a suitably experienced and well-rounded ERP/PM professional, the Project Manager ERP (Oracle) will need to bring with them:
- Experience leading business change, strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills and extensive experience engaging and influencing key stakeholders and customers to influence and achieve optimal business outcomes.
- Demonstrated and proven understanding and implementation of project lifecycles and project controls with qualification in one or more project management disciplines such as PRINCE2 and PMBOK (or equivalent);
- Extensive experience in Project Managing end-to-end ERP implementations (preferably 2+ ERP Implementations);
- Highly developed communication and engagement skills, with the ability to deal with people at all levels of an organisation including liaising with a wide range of diverse IT and business stakeholders;
- Strong understanding of business and financial practices;
- Effective leadership and motivational skills, including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organisations; and
- The ability to travel both domestically and internationally as required.
Candidates will need to be eligible to obtain a Baseline Australian Government Security Clearance.
