We are pleased to invite applications from experienced Electronic Warfare/ RF Technicians for a new opportunity on our team.
Based on our Defence client’s site in Edinburgh, South Australia, our Technician will join a team supporting customer trials and help to design, build and test custom ruggedised containers to meet their trial needs. This is likely to include building test boxes with enclosed circuitry, which will need to be ruggedised to support Maritime environment testing.
As our ideal candidate, you’ll present with:
- An Electronic Warfare (EW)/ RF Technician background
- An understanding of EW systems – ideally with building and testing experience
- Experience in circuit layout, both on PCB’s and within enclosures (test boxes) coupled with wiring and soldering/crimping skills and experience in fitting plugs out, shielding etc
- The ability to write test documents in support of the project and to carry out testing following sets of approved test procedures
- Generating reports as required by the client post-test activity
- Well-developed problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to work
- A level of comfort working in a customer-facing environment
Whilst not essential, some CAD experience will be well regarded as our prototyping will be turned into a design package.
Due to the nature of this role, applicants must hold an active Australian Defence security clearance (minimum level of Baseline).
