We are currently accepting applications for a Senior Robotics Engineer based on-site in Sydney.
Reporting to the Program Delivery Lead, the Senior Robotics Engineer will work under the guidance of the Engineering Manager on complex technical engineering tasks. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge robotics and mechatronics projects supporting complex Defence programs.
The Senior Robotics Engineer will be accountable for:
- Solving complex engineering problems using standard and emerging technologies
- Supporting Test and Trial activities in field environments
- Contributing to delivery of complete systems or components of larger projects
- Assisting other engineers while also working independently on defined tasks
- Collaborating across disciplines including hardware, software and systems teams
As a suitably experienced and well- rounded engineering professional, the Senior Robotics Engineer will be:
- Degree qualified in Robotics, Electronics, Mechatronics, Software, Mechanical or a related field
- Proficient in Python, C/C++, Linux environments
- Experienced in the practical application of embedded systems, schematics, CAD tools (e.g. Solidworks or Inventor) and system testing
- Strong in communication, attention to detail and presentation skills
- Advanced in problem solving skills
- Driven by safety and have a safety-first mindset with the ability to work in cross-functional teams
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance. Current security clearance is advantageous.
