The Role
As a Modern Workplace Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical solutions within one or more technology domains contributing to the design, implementation and support of systems and services.

Day-to-day, you’ll take ownership of technical deliverables, proactively solving problems and influencing engineering decision across teams within a supportive dynamic team of engineers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Indendently designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade solutions across one or more technology domains
  • Collaborating with senior engineer and team leads to align work with strategic goals
  • Taking ownership of deliverables, ensuring quality, performance, and alignment with architectural standards performing troubleshooting and assisting in resolving technical issues
  • Contributing to documentation and knowledge repositories supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented engineering culture
  • Providing guidance and informal mentoring to Associate Engineers, supporting their technical development and integration into the team

Essential experience of the Modern Workplace Engineer

  • Previous experience delivering technical solutions in enterprise environments, including design, implementation, and support
  • Previous experience with the M365 stack with relevant platforms, tools and frameworks – Email/Messaging, Collaboration Tools, Access Control, User Support, DLP and PowerShell
  • The ability to problem solve and troubleshoot complex technical issues with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management
  • Experience in scripting or automation
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to collaborate with other team members

Essential qualifications for the Modern Workplace Engineer:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience

This role is 37 hours per week based at Farnborough. Hybrid working patterns are available. Shift patterns for this role are between 0730 – 1830 and requires participation in an on-call rota.
