We are currently seeking a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) technician (Level 2B) to become a valuable member of our team in a full-time position located in Amberley, Queensland. The successful candidate will assist the development of NDT procedures in support of ADF Platforms.

The opportunity

As an NDT Technician, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Supporting the review of NDT procedures in accordance with DAVENG-DASA (NDT&CR)
• Conducting an information review in accordance with DAVENG-DASA (NDT&CR) internal engineering processes
• Providing support to training material development in support of NDT training events in accordance with NDT&CR internal processes
• Instructing NDT training events

To be successful in the position of Level 2B NDT Technician, you will need to bring with you:

• Solid experience as level 2 NDT Technician IAW EN4179 (or other recognised national standard) is essential
• Level 2 NDT Technician IAW EN4179 (or other recognised national standard for which RPL may be sought IAW NDT&CR instructions) for NDT Procedure Development in at least two of:
  • Ultrasonic Testing
  • Liquid Penetrant testing
  • Magnetic Particle Testing
  • Radiographic Testing
  • Eddy Current Testing

• Engineering Authority for the production of NDT ICA is desirable
• Aviation or Defence NDT experience is desirable

• Completed Assessor skillsets UOC is also desirable

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold an Australian Defence security clearance, NV1 minimum.
