The Role
The Payroll Administrator is a member of the Enterprise Services team where you will provide support to Employee Services delivering planned or requested activities which will depend on the requirements of the individual task to effectively deliver high quality services to our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • To provide 1st line payroll support (via phone, email, and drop-in visits into the Helpdesk)
  • To provide an excellent level of customer service for all customers
  • To administer the payroll for three different payrolls
  • To process all payroll files in accordance with the payroll schedule and payroll cut-offs
  • To ensure compliance with all HMRC and payroll policies, procedures and work instructions
  • To ensure compliance with GDPR regulations, organisational policies, procedures and work instructions
  • To liaise with all third parties

Essential experience of the Payroll Administrator:

  • Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other IT applications
  • Demonstrable experience within a payroll position
  • In depth knowledge within Tax Codes, National Insurance and Statutory Sick Pay
  • Excel skills - V lookups, pivot tables

Essential qualifications for the Payroll Administrator:

  • CIPP certification or working towards

This role is 37 hours per week and is based out of our Boscombe Down facility in Salisbury. This role will require you to be onsite 3 days per week on average.

Boscombe Down

MOD Boscombe Down is a unique operational site featuring the longest military runway in the UK. Primarily focusing on providing testing, evaluation and support services for aviation and aerospace systems. Renowned for its extensive flight-testing capabilities the site plays a vital role in the UK’s aviation defence contributing to the development, testing and airworthiness of military aircraft enhancing operational readiness and effectiveness.

Please note that all applicants for this role must be eligible for SC clearance, as a minimum.
