The Role
The role of the Estates Governance Manager is to deliver improved confidence in business delivery across the Estate by providing a Governance and 1st Line Assurance model in line with the Global Operating Model, Construction Industry standards and the QinetiQ Operating Framework.

Ensuring correct entry of data onto SAP CRM relating to your opportunities and maintain this data to reflect any changes in key inputs including Order Value, Order Intake Scenario, (Low, Base, High, Excluded), Bid Due date, Closing Date, Sales Stage, Margin, Revenue Profile and up to date notes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• To work alongside the Estates and Procurement teams to provide an efficient and effective Governance and Assurance model to delivery consistently across the business
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date forecasts for both financial performance and resource demand, ensuring they reflect the current scope and status of work
• Ensure adherence to all governance requirements, including lifecycle reviews, project reviews, and independent assurance reviews where applicable

• Act as recipient for all new requests for the Capital Programmes, Real Estate and Energy teams and allocate accordingly
• Define, implement and mature a Governance and Assurance approach that meets the Global Operating Model, RIBA Plan of Work and the QinetiQ Operating Framework

Essential experience of the Estates Governance Manager:

• Strong programme and project management skills
• Confident and articulate with well-developed communication, facilitation and presentation skills
• Able to operate at an enterprise level

Desirable qualifications for the Estates Governance Manager:

• Chartered project professional or equivalent project management qualifications APM ChPP/ similar or commitment to become so

This role is 37 hours per week and is based out of either the Boscombe Down, Farnborough or Portsmouth facilities on a hybrid working pattern of 3 days per week on average, onsite.

Boscombe Down

MOD Boscombe Down is a unique operational site featuring the longest military runway in the UK. Primarily focusing on providing testing, evaluation and support services for aviation and aerospace systems. Renowned for its extensive flight-testing capabilities the site plays a vital role in the UK’s aviation defence contributing to the development, testing and airworthiness of military aircraft enhancing operational readiness and effectiveness.

Farnborough

At our Farnborough site exciting work takes place at our state-of-the-art facility, with high-energy laser technologies, our 5m pressurised wind tunnel which has a simulation capability that is unique in the UK and our large research and development projects is a real hub of creativity, research and innovation. PTP

Portsmouth Technology Park (PTP) is one of QinetiQ’s key facilities, focusing on advanced technology development and engineering services. It is dedicated to research and development, ensuring that complex systems are designed, integrated, and tested effectively to meet operational requirements. The facility utilises sophisticated modelling and simulation techniques to analyse and predict performance.

Haslar

Our facilities at the Haslar Marine Technology Park are state-of-the-art, including our ocean basin rotating arm, and marine towing tank, offering an unparalleled environment for testing and refining designs. Our marine technology offers our global customers a service to deliver constrained hydrodynamic model tests of surface ships, submarines, offshore structures, and renewable energy devices.
