The Role

As Rapid’s Credit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our credit function. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, this hands-on leadership position requires a dynamic individual capable of leading a diverse team while closely collaborating with the broader leadership team—your key internal stakeholders. One of your primary goals will be to proactively manage expectations and ensure clear communication, maintaining the seamless operation of our credit management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

Guide, mentor, and develop both HQ and offshore credit teams, enhancing their skills and overall performance.

Continuous Improvement:

Drive the continuous improvement of systems, tools, and processes to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with business goals.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and nurture strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor on credit-related matters.

Risk & Governance:

Keep Rapid safe with stringent Credit underwriting processes and procedures.

Strategic Reporting:

Provide timely, insightful reports on credit activities to support company performance and enable informed strategic decision-making.

About You

You are an experienced Credit or Credit Risk Manager with deep expertise in credit management. A proactive and resilient leader, you excel in working autonomously, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have a proven ability to build capabilities and influence others.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Extensive Experience: Over 5 years of experience in a Credit or Credit Risk Manager position, with a strong track record in assessing and mitigating personal and auto credit risk.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional skills in managing expectations, resolving conflicts, and building strong relationships.
• Industry Insight: Experience in personal lending and auto finance is highly valued.
• Adaptable: Quick to learn, comfortable with the unknown.
