About The Role
Due to the continuing strong growth of Auswide Bank’s Broker-Home-Loan channel, the Bank is seeking a Lending Analyst to join its Brisbane Based Loan Origination Services Team.
Your ultimate responsibility is to provide customer-orientated service between the Bank and its Loan Brokers.
This position ideally suits recent finance graduates who are looking for a start in the finance industry, or those who would like to further their careers in Banking. So, if you have a passion for helping people obtain their dream of home ownership, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for broker referred mortgage applications by ensuring an efficient and timely journey of the end-to-end lending process
- Assessment and verification of supporting financial documentation that relate to the Home Loan applications including income, employment verification, credit checks, order valuations
- Assist with enquiries from Brokers and BRM’s relating to application and credit structuring
- Manage your own workflow of files moving through Loan Origination Service process including monitoring processes and internal /external stakeholder workflow of loan applications
What you'll bring to the table
While experience in Consumer Lending would be advantageous, it is not critical, is it more about who you are and how you could enhance our broker’s experience! We will supply training and support to give you the right tools to be successful! This is a volume-based business, which will offer you a strong path of opportunity to gain rapid knowledge of the home loan journey, from application to settlement.
As well as having excellent & effective problem solving, negotiation and communication skills, you will also need to:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with Brokers, customers and internal teams
- Be adaptable, flexible and open to change as this role is volume based, and situations can change with short notice
- Experience in processing home loan applications (desirable but not essential), or completed study in a related field will be considered
- Have the drive and the ability to quickly grasp the Bank's Credit Policies & procedures will be crucial
- A desire to grow and develop within Auswide Bank
- Complete and participate in any required compliance training
- Strong work ethic and willingness to demonstrate and promote the Bank’s values EMPOWER on a daily basis
- Ability to handle challenges calmly and professionally, especially when issues arise during the loan application process
- Experience in being a user and promoter of technology – working knowledge in using different digital channels will be an advantage
