About Us:

We are a national provider of home loans across Australia, connected to the Big Four banks. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional financial solutions, offering tailored services and innovative products that meet the diverse needs of our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Mortgage Processing Officer for a 6-month contract position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a proven track record in home loan processing, especially for self-employed and sole trader clients.

Role Overview:

As a Mortgage Processing Officer, you will be responsible for processing post-settlement variation requests related to title production matters and deceased estates. The main transaction types include second mortgages, easements, caveats, subdivisions, and deceased estates (for both deposit and home loans).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process post-settlement variation requests, including second mortgages, easements, caveats, subdivisions, and deceased estates
  • Review and validate documentation to ensure all requirements are met before processing requests
  • Manage customer inquiries and requests via email or post, ensuring all necessary information is gathered
  • Communicate with customers, their legal representatives, and home loan managers via phone and email to confirm and discuss instructions
  • Provide exceptional customer service by guiding clients through the process and addressing any questions or concerns
  • Operate within defined contractual service levels, ensuring milestones are completed on time
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and correspondence
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient processing and resolution of requests
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within financial services or home loan processing
  • Knowledge of title production, deceased estates, and associated legal documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A customer-focused approach, with the ability to guide clients through complex processes
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines within service level agreements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer-based systems
