JOB TITLE: Senior Research Analyst
JOB TYPE: Full-Time – Permanent
LOCATION: 4/174-180 Pacific Highway, North Sydney
SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Amanda Christmann / Joel Wyld

RESPONSIBILITIES

Loan Structuring:

  • Analyse lender policies to determine the most suitable options for clients.
  • Ensure loan applications comply with lender policies and serviceability requirements.
  • Assist Relationship Managers in explaining loan details to clients and, where necessary, communicate directly with clients to provide a high level of service.

Loan Processing and Analysis:

  • Use lender serviceability calculators to assess borrowing capacity and loan feasibility.
  • Complete detailed analyses, including PAYG income calculations and funds-to-complete evaluations.
  • Prepare and submit accurate lender comparisons, valuations, and pricing requests.
  • Review and process submission notes for lenders and finalise handover checklists in Process Street (PS).

Client and Lender Communication:

  • Liaise with lenders to resolve issues, clarify policies, and ensure application alignment with client goals.
  • Respond to client enquiries regarding the loan application process and structuring options.

Compliance and Accuracy:

  • Verify all loan applications for compliance with lender policies and internal checklists.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy in submitted applications for structuring, policy alignment, and serviceability requirements for 90% of application submitted.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

  • Analyse client and broker-provided information to determine the best loan options.
  • Use lender calculators and tools to verify loan feasibility and structuring.
  • Contact lenders via phone or email to clarify policies and confirm loan structure suitability.
  • Answer and resolve client and lender queries related to loan applications.
  • Prepare detailed submission notes for loan lodgement and final approvals.

SECONDARY ACTIVITIES

  • Order valuations and pricing requests if required.
  • Prepare product comparisons when necessary.
  • Provide feedback on process improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks or projects assigned by directors.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Mortgage Broking or higher is highly regarded.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in the lending industry.
  • Experience with loan structuring and assessing complex scenarios.

Skills:

  • Advanced understanding of lender policies and loan structuring.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internal systems (e.g., FLEX, Process Street).
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

PERFORMANCE GOALS & KPIs

  • Achieve 100% accuracy in loan structuring, policy compliance, and servicing requirements for 90% of lodged applications.
  • Attend at least two lender webinars monthly to stay updated on policies and products.
  • Respond to client calls within 2 business hours and emails within 4 business hours.
  • Ensure all client updates are provided within the promised timeframe.
