Position Summary

As a Credit Analyst, you'll take ownership of credit assessments, structure deals in line with lender policies, and provide full end-to-end support to both brokers and clients throughout the loan process. Based out of the Ropes Crossing office and reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth, accurate, and efficient application journeys while working closely with a dynamic team of Mortgage Brokers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess client scenarios and structure lending solutions aligned with lender credit policies, optimising borrowing capacity and approval outcomes across PAYG, self-employed, and entity-based applicants.

  • Manage end-to-end loan application processing through CRM and lender portals, ensuring all supporting documentation is submitted, compliant, and meets quality standards.

  • Monitor industry trends and product updates across various lending segments (FHB, investor, construction) to support brokers in selecting suitable loan products.

  • Liaise with brokers, clients, BDMs, lenders, solicitors, and referral partners to facilitate seamless communication throughout the loan process.

  • Proactively handle lender follow-ups including MIRs and RMIs, guiding clients through final steps such as document signing and settlement preparation.

  • Maintain current knowledge of lender policies, product features, and credit structuring to provide accurate recommendations and support.

  • Ensure all applications adhere to compliance requirements and risk protocols, identifying and mitigating any potential issues early in the process.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying workflow efficiencies and supporting best practice adoption across the team.

  • Support internal operational goals with high attention to accuracy, collaboration, and responsiveness in a fast-paced lending environment.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on regulatory changes, system enhancements, and evolving industry standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need

  • Experience in the Mortgage Brokering industry, in a similar role such as a senior loan processor.

  • Willingness to complete or has Cert IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking.

  • Deep understanding of credit policy and loan product features and structures.

  • Experience reading and interpreting financial documents.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to problem-solve and work autonomously.

  • Confident managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • High attention to detail and ability to follow strict compliance procedures.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Ability to manage high volumes and meet daily submission targets.

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with brokers and support staff.

  • Knowledge of Australian lending and compliance frameworks.

  • Prior experience working with Broker Engine, Infynity, ApplyOnline, and Loan App will be highly regarded.
