The Role
The Insights Lead is an exciting role within our RFI Global Council Insights team, focused on serving our financial services clients in Australia and New Zealand.
The Insights Lead is responsible for generating regular, actionable insights through robust data analysis, market research, and insightful interpretation. Serving as a key point of contact for clients and regularly delivering presentations, the Insights Lead works closely with the Insights Director to develop and execute research briefs that address the client's strategic and operational business questions.
This role will also be instrumental in advancing the team's analysis capabilities, consistently striving to exceed client expectations in all aspects of insight delivery. The role also plays a crucial role in identifying simplification opportunities, operational best practices, driving continuous improvement, efficiency and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
Research and Insights Delivery
- Lead the design and delivery of client research programs.
- Develop and deliver impactful reports that drive strategic decision making for clients.
- Regularly deliver engaging client presentations through the use of storytelling and innovative communication techniques.
- Own client and internal research briefings, communicating requirements and expectations to the Insights Director.
- Experienced in translating insights into business impact by connecting deliverables to the client’s strategic priorities.
- Proactively identify business questions to drive value for clients.
- Identify insights for sales enablement material to support new business development.
Data Analysis
- Lead high quality, accurate and on time data analysis projects.
- Collaborate with the internal RFI teams to address complex and timely analysis requests.
- Utilise advanced data analysis techniques (descriptive, diagnostic and statistical), and tools (e.g. SPSS, Q, DisplayR).
- Support process and ongoing iteration of insightful reporting.
Process Optimisation
- Prioritise tasks in collaboration with the Insights Director and Senior Resourcing Manager based on team capacity and workload.
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes, automate, and deliver higher quality actionable insights.
- Support internal teams in improving QA processes, outputs, and automation techniques.
Team Leadership
- Coach and mentor junior analysts in data analysis and insight interpretation.
- Foster knowledge sharing across RFI and contribute to an inclusive team culture.
- Deliver Council Insights team training periodically.
- Experience in a research agency environment or research role.
- Experience working with banks / financial services providers highly regarded.
- Experience presenting research and insights to senior management clients highly regarded.
- 5+ years of experience in market research, data analytics, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Behavioural Sciences, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with data mining, data visualization and statistical analysis using tools such as SPSS, Survey Reporter, Q and DisplayR.
- Strong ability to communicate data analysis into actionable findings with diverse stakeholder groups, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven experience in end-to-end analysis; from briefing to execution of a stated business problem, defining the analysis plan, analysing and interpreting the output.
- Demonstrates a curious mindset with a drive to get to the root of business problems by asking insightful questions and thinking proactively.
- Excellent planning and time management skills, able to handle quick turnarounds and manage priorities set with the client in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, to foster a positive team environment and drive collective results.
- Experience advising, engaging, and supporting a high-performing team, with a desire to mentor junior analysts.
- Experience in research methodologies is highly regarded.
