Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical expertise and guidance to the manufacturing team and EMS suppliers, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
- New Product Introduction (NPI): Manage the smooth transition of new products from design to manufacturing, including process development, validation, and documentation.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve manufacturing issues promptly, employing root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain and improve product quality standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.
- Manufacturing Documentation: Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, and process flow diagrams.
- Equipment Maintenance and Calibration: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers to evaluate and improve component quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and feasibility studies for proposed process improvements and capital expenditures.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, test engineering, and supply chain, to support overall business objectives.
- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, such as ISO standards and environmental regulations.
- Project Management: Lead and participate in cross-functional projects to drive operational excellence and achieve business goals.
