- Lead and perform failure analysis on defective modules or components using the most appropriate and cost/time-effective defect analysis techniques to locate the failure modes and determine the true root cause of the defect. (50%)
- Collaborate with application engineers performing initial defect triage to confirm the failure and isolate software from hardware issues to expedite the FA process. Then gather and analyze defect information such as product type, failure conditions, failure symptoms etc. and customize a FA plan for each case. (20%)
- Establish a comprehensive network of internal and external resources including application engineers, software and hardware engineers, supplier quality engineers, contract manufacturers and 3rd party laboratories to leverage equipment resources and product knowledge. (10%)
- Provide timely updates and maintain regular failure analysis reports to Customer Quality Manager and keep a proper record of investigations to ensure complete traceability in accordance with ISO standards and real-time failure mode monitoring. (10%)
- Provide failure analysis support to the other teams on defects from new product development and maintenance of the line projects when resources are limited and highlight design limitations as soon as possible. (10%)
