Job Summary:
The Senior Facilities Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all facility systems and equipment within our manufacturing site. This position involves the oversight of engineering projects, facility upgrades, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, project management skills, and a proactive ownership driven approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of facility systems, including water purification, cleanroom and building HVAC, electrical, plumbing (water and chemical delivery and wastewater treatment), and mechanical systems (compressed air, house vacuum).
- Lead and manage facility projects from conception design through execution to operational state, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facility systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
- Support compliance of the sites to all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and on-site guidance to facility staff and contractors; mentorship to entry level engineers and technicians.
- Provide subject matter expert advice around facility budgets, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of facility operations, including maintenance records, project plans, and compliance reports.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in facility engineering and maintenance practices.
- Develop and co-ordinate Emergency Response Team
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in facilities engineering or maintenance in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing budgets and facility-related projects (both self-performed and with contractors)
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations (especially with systems supporting a cleanroom environment).
- Physical ability to conduct inspections and perform maintenance tasks, including lifting and climbing as necessary.
- Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of all building and manufacturing support systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Willingness to respond to facility emergencies outside of regular working hours and weekends
- Occasional travel to vendor sites or for training purposes may be required.
- Experience with EAM / CMMS / BAS / MS Office (required), Distech (preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proficient in CAD software and other engineering tools
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, and at times stressful, manufacturing environment.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $91,000.00 - $120,000.00. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
This position will remain open until filled.
