Job Summary:
The Product Test Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and managing AMW BU NPI production releases (primarily at Colorado location). This includes completing all the required product and test engineering tasks to support prototype evaluation, qualification, production manufacturing, and yield enhancements. In addition, the position is expected to provide technical expertise and leadership to support critical engineering initiatives such as managing products and product documentation to meet automotive and other critical industry requirements. Responsibilities:
- Manage NPI projects for Business Unit products to meet quarterly goals (10%)
- Generate characterization and test plan (10%)
- Develop test hardware and test program for supporting prototype evaluation, characterization, reliability and production testing (10%)
- Monitor and review production yield for different production test sites (5%)
- Developing and producing assembly and test evaluations, results, and capabilities in support of the product growth roadmap (15%)
- Provide on-site technical support to manufacturing engineering teams (10%)
- Participate and contribute with the process engineering teams to help solve problems such as testing issues or low yield issues (15%)
- Develop, document, and implement manufacturability and support existing quality assurance processes (15%)
- Manage vendors to ensure expected outcomes in terms of schedule and resolutions (5%)
- Establish a product test engineering team and mentor the team members (5%)
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. Electrical Engineering or M.S. Electrical Engineering
- A minimum of 10+ year working experience as a Product / Test Engineer to support NPI and manufacturing of analog and mixed-signal semiconductor devices
- A minimum of 1 year of management experience in leading and mentoring a team
- Familiar with NPI development and yield enhancement processes
- Good understanding of working theory of semiconductor devices and reliability testing
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical circuits and Analog / Digital IC testing methodologies incorporated with high volume production techniques and requirements
- Familiar with processes and requirements to release products for automotive industry
- Extensive knowledge in designing test hardware and test fixtures for high power devices
- Proven programming skills in C/C++/VBA
- Familiar with different lab instruments and ATE testers
- Proficient with FA process and interpret the FA report
- Excellent analytical and trouble shooting skills with the ability to proactively solve issues
- Strong background in statistical data analysis using statistical tools including Excel
- Quick learner of new technical skills including new instruments and software
- Effective verbal and written communication to interface at all levels within the organization
- Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule
- Experience in working with international and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office™ products - Excel, Word, Visio, Power Point, Project

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $91,000 - $143,000. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
