Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management:

  • Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure systems including servers, storage, networks, and cloud services.

  • Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime.

  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of IT systems to support business operations.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including network engineers, system administrators, and support staff.

  • Foster collaboration with other departments to align infrastructure solutions with organizational needs.

  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and data against cyber threats.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO).

  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.

Project Management:

  • Plan and execute IT infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.

  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for infrastructure projects.

  • Prepare detailed project documentation and reports for stakeholders.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for IT infrastructure, aligning with the organization's long-term objectives.

  • Assess and recommend emerging technologies to improve efficiency and scalability.

  • Evaluate and negotiate vendor contracts for hardware, software, and cloud services.

Operational Support:

  • Oversee help desk operations and ensure timely resolution of IT issues.

  • Manage disaster recovery plans and backup strategies to mitigate risks.

  • Establish and document standard operating procedures for infrastructure management.

Minimum Qualifications (Key Responsibilities):

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a medium to large organization in IT Infrastructure role with at least 2 years in a managerial position.

  • Proven work experience and deep knowledge of many of the following technologies in a medium to large enterprise environment: virtualization such as Vmware Esxi, Ovirt, Open source technologies including Linux RedHat, Ubuntu, MySql, Postgres, Apache, …

  • Understandings on Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory & services, Azure, AWS, DNS, DHCP.

  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles and enterprise-level system management.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles.

  • Disaster recovery planning experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Proven experience managing hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud).

  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CCNP, AWS/Azure certifications, or CISSP.
