Position Summary: The Process Technician 1 position is responsible for performing basic process support activities within our semiconductor company. This position supports manufacturing processes, assists with equipment operation, and helps maintain process parameters for production operations. The role requires fundamental understanding of process principles, technical skills, and attention to detail to support effective semiconductor manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities: Process Support (30%): • Support semiconductor manufacturing processes • Assist with monitoring process parameters and conditions • Help perform basic process adjustments and corrections • Support process workflow and documentation • Maintain process equipment and workstations Equipment Operation (25%): • Support basic process equipment operation • Assist with equipment setup and preparation • Help perform equipment checks and routine maintenance • Support equipment logs and documentation • Maintain equipment cleanliness and operational readiness Process Monitoring (15%): • Support process monitoring and data collection • Assist with gathering process measurements and readings • Help identify process deviations and anomalies • Support process data recording and logging • Maintain monitoring equipment and tools Material Handling (15%): • Support material handling for process operations • Assist with loading and unloading materials • Help track process materials and consumables • Support material preparation and handling • Maintain material handling procedures and protocols Cross-functional Coordination (10%): • Support coordination between process areas and other departments • Participate in production meetings and shift handovers • Help facilitate information flow between teams • Assist with gathering information from various functional areas • Support alignment of process activities with production objectives Professional Development (5%): • Develop understanding of semiconductor process principles • Learn equipment operation and process procedures • Support implementation of standard operating procedures • Participate in technical training and development activities • Increase knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes
Education and Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent required; Vocational/Technical training preferred • 0-2 years of experience in process operations, manufacturing, or related role • Basic knowledge of process principles and practices • Experience with basic equipment operation and monitoring • Familiarity with manufacturing operations in a production environment
Qualifications: - Basic knowledge of process principles and practices • Understanding of manufacturing procedures and equipment operation • Proficiency with basic process tools, monitoring devices, and measurement instruments • Attention to detail and accuracy in process operations • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity • Effective written and verbal communication abilities • Basic problem-solving capabilities • Understanding of workplace safety and process protocols • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment • Willingness to learn and develop process expertise • Basic understanding of quality requirements and specifications • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures • Basic computer skills for process documentation and data entry • Ability to work in clean room environments when required • Capability to work rotating shifts as needed • Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment
Travel Requirements: - Minimal travel required (less than 5% of time) • May require occasional travel between company facilities
Level of Authority: - Performs routine process tasks following established procedures • Makes basic decisions regarding process activities and observations • Escalates process issues to appropriate personnel • Works under supervision with limited independent decision-making • Follows established policies and procedures for process activities
