Analog Engineer 3

Position Summary: The Analog Engineer 3 position is responsible for leading analog circuit engineering functions for significant product areas
within our semiconductor company. This position develops analog architecture strategies, manages complex circuit implementations, and provides expert
guidance on analog technology and optimization. The role requires advanced expertise in analog design, strong analytical abilities, and leadership skills
to ensure excellent circuit performance while supporting business objectives in the highly technical semiconductor design environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Analog Architecture and Design Leadership (25%): • Develop and implement analog architectures and design strategies for significant product lines
or technology platforms • Create comprehensive analog specifications, performance requirements, and design methodologies • Design innovative circuit
solutions to address specialized semiconductor application challenges • Establish performance objectives and technical metrics • Align analog designs
with product objectives and market requirements
Advanced Analog Circuit Design (20%): • Lead complex analog circuit and subsystem design initiatives • Develop sophisticated analog blocks,
precision references, and interface circuits • Implement advanced circuit techniques for performance optimization • Create reference designs and
architectural templates • Drive design excellence through innovative topologies and techniques
Analog Integration and System Optimization (15%): • Lead analog-digital integration and system optimization • Develop interface strategies and
noise management approaches • Create system performance models and circuit budgets • Implement power optimization and area efficiency techniques
• Ensure optimal system performance through comprehensive integration approaches
Design for Manufacturability and Yield (15%): • Lead design for manufacturability initiatives for analog circuits • Develop sophisticated
approaches for process variation tolerance and yield optimization • Create process-portable design methodologies and migration strategies • Implement
advanced techniques for matching, layout, and parasitic management • Ensure robust designs across process corners, voltage, and temperature
Technical Problem Solving and Innovation (15%): • Lead resolution of complex analog technical challenges • Develop advanced troubleshooting
methodologies and debug strategies • Create innovative solutions for difficult analog performance issues • Implement novel techniques for circuit
optimization and enhancement • Drive continuous improvement through technical excellence and innovation
Technical Leadership and Collaboration (10%): • Serve as analog subject matter expert to product and system teams • Lead cross-functional analog
initiatives and development projects • Provide technical mentoring to engineering teams • Build collaborative relationships with system architects,
digital designers, and platform teams • Represent analog expertise in technical forums and reviews

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field; Master's degree preferred • 5-7 years of progressive experience in analog
circuit design and semiconductor engineering • Experience leading analog design projects and complex circuit implementations • Advanced knowledge of
analog design techniques, device physics, and circuit topologies • Experience in semiconductor industry required

Qualifications:
• Expert knowledge of analog circuit design principles, methodologies, and techniques • Advanced understanding of semiconductor device physics, analog
layout, and process technology impacts • Strong knowledge of various analog circuit blocks (amplifiers, references, data converters, regulators, etc.)
• Experience with analog simulation tools, design verification, and characterization methods • Excellent project leadership capabilities with experience
managing complex design initiatives • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Superior technical communication and documentation abilities • Knowledge
of semiconductor manufacturing processes and analog design constraints • Strategic thinking with ability to align analog approaches with product objectives
• Experience with mixed-signal design, power management, and system integration • Understanding of reliability mechanisms, qualification, and test methodologies

Travel Requirements:
• Moderate travel required (10-15% of time) • May include travel between design centers, manufacturing facilities, and customer sites

Level of Authority:
• Leads analog engineering for significant product areas or technology platforms • Makes decisions regarding analog architectures, design approaches,
and circuit implementations • Provides authoritative guidance on analog matters and methodology applications • Approves analog specifications and design
approaches • May supervise analog engineers or coordinate cross-functional design teams

• Performs highly complex analog engineering activities requiring advanced expertise and judgment • Addresses sophisticated analog challenges involving
multiple variables and performance dimensions • Develops circuit solutions with significant product performance and market implications • Requires deep
