Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute mechanical designs from concept to fabrication backed by thorough engineering analysis. (40%)

• Perform finite element analysis (FEA) on customer designs and recommend realistic design improvements that optimize the HMI experience. (30%)

• Assist in fabrication, assembly, and testing activities from Proof-of-Concepts to mass production projects. (10%)

• Collaborate closely with business and engineering teams during the product development cycle to translate customer input into successful, cutting-edge products. (10%)

• (10%) Travel to customer locations (domestic and international) to provide technical support

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of work experience designing real world products

• Creative problem solving in designing electro-mechanical assemblies from concept to fabrication

• Working knowledge of various fabrication methods such as CNC machining, injection molding, 3D printing, sheet metal stamping, and assembly techniques for consumer and industrial products

• Excellent skill in 3D CAD modeling and finite element analysis (FEA)

• Good understanding of materials and structural mechanics

• Consumer electronics experience a plus

• Working knowledge of electronics and circuits

• Hands-on experience with fabrication and assembly tools

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
