Job Summary:

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for building operations and working with vendors on the maintenance on a variety of systems including but not limited to electrical, HVAC, waste removal, compressed air and gases, water, plumbing, building automation, life safety and participating in all compliance and quality assurance requirements. Partnership and teamwork with multiple internal departments will be required, as well as numerous external vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and execute recurring preventive maintenance on various facilities systems
  • Trouble shoot issues and repair facilities equipment using mechanical and electronic skills.

  • Create and maintain equipment procedure and documentation. Record maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting in checklists and internal share drive.

  • Work with and oversee vendors, contractors and suppliers as needed.

  • Request bids and prepare requisitions for contractors.

  • Waste Management and treatment of Hazardous materials

  • Landscape maintenance and sprinkler system repair.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing time and budget

  • Ability to comfortably work around and handle chemicals safely.

  • Strong safety mindset, not only in work practice but also in identifying possible issues.

  • Must work well with all levels of employees

  • The ability to work hours is based on facilities and business needs, which may include skewed schedules with work on weekends and holidays as required.

  • Problem solves and address root causes of facilities issues including basic data extraction, analysis and reporting

  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation such as installation instructions, technical drawings, maps, plumbing and electrical schematics, panel schedules, datasheets and manuals.

  • Minimum 5 years of facility-related experience ​​

Desired Qualifications

  • Certificate in one of the following: plumbing, electrical, or hazardous waste disposal

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to drive forklift, scissor lift or other heavy machinery.

  • Ability to pick up a minimum of 50 lbs.

  • Comfortable on ladders, roofs, heights and tight spaces.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $25 - $36/hr. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
