Job Summary:

​​As a Maintenance Technician 2, you will assist in mentoring and training junior level T1 technicians. You will assist the team and help give guidance in troubleshooting “hard down” equipment as well as monitoring and maintaining the area equipment to reduce downtime and increase overall availability. You will be responsible for implementing and completing projects assigned by Maintenance manager/supervisor and or the Senior level maint technicians. You will work in partnership with production team members, engineering teams, and help keep the area and maintenance department safe and running efficiently.

​This will be a mid-range technician level position and will require Implementing and helping to specialize on more specific systems that require support and hard level repairs and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • ​​Ability to work on “hard down” equipment, and normal line triage and troubleshooting as well as to help to improvise and implement solutions for repairs and upkeep or modification. (10%)

  • ​Ability to help mentor Tech level 1 technicians. (10%)

  • ​Perform preventative maintenance, assist with all equipment installations and or de-installations and or upgrades under supervision. (20%)

  • ​Perform projects designated by senior lead technicians and or the maintenance manager/supervisor in increasing efficiency for the area as a whole and the maintenance department. (10%)

  • ​Document all maintenance performed in established checklists and tracking programs, (MES, I2DS.) (20%)

  • ​Ability to start learning and working on all equipment in the Assembly, Test tape and reel as well as ZC areas including - Dicing Saws, Epoxy Printers, Grinders, Plasma Etchers, Metal Plate Line, RO water systems, MIE test and Merlin die attach equipment. (20%)

  • ​The ability to be flexible with job responsibilities and take the initiative to assume added responsibilities. (10%)​

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 to 5 or more years of hands-on industry experience in a related field; alternatively, candidates may qualify through a combination of formal education such as an AAS in Electronics, BS in Electronics Engineering Technology, or AS/BS in Physics or Mathematics, and applicable experience in areas such as service technician work, aircraft or automotive mechanics, or semiconductor fabrication.

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of AC/DC circuits including fundamentals of electricity and electronic components, with a strong mechanical and electronics aptitude and demonstrated ability to properly use multimeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electronic circuits and systems. Ability to interface with Field Service Engineers and vendors during system repairs and remote troubleshooting via phone or email.

  • Basic to advanced data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated teamwork skills with a strong focus on effective team dynamics and collaboration.

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage time effectively, and adapt to shifting production priorities or expanded responsibilities as business needs evolve.

  • Must be willing to work a 12-hour shift on a 3 to 4 day a week work schedule

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of AC/DC circuits including motor controls, PLCs, or power distribution systems.

  • Experience working within a semiconductor fabrication environment with exposure to equipment qualification or preventive maintenance programs.
