Job Summary:

The Document Control Specialist supports the engineering and manufacturing teams by producing and maintaining document control processes in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for processing engineering changes, maintaining BOM accuracy, and ensuring all controlled documents and product records meet applicable quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, update, and maintain Lead frame Bonding Diagrams, POD drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) structures within the PLM system, ensuring alignment between engineering drawings and associated part records.
  • Link engineering drawings, specifications, Gerber files and supporting documents to the appropriate part records and BOM levels within the PLM database.
  • Manage document revision control processes, ensuring all drawings and documents are updated, approved, and released in accordance with established change control procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve document control workflows, and PLM data management practices to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • AS or related technical degree and / or +1 years related work experience.
  • Drafting experience, using Autodesk/AutoCAD or related software preferred.
  • Experience processing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and related change control documentation.
  • Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Bill of Materials (BOM) structures in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Experience with PLM and/or ERP systems for part number management, BOM maintenance, and document control workflows.
  • Necessary computer skills include Microsoft Office.
  • Must be an effective communicator with the ability to interface with others within the organization, possessing a thorough written and verbal command of the English language.

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
