Our Team

Semtech Corporation (NASDAQ: SMTC) is a leading supplier of high-quality analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products, with design centres around the world delivering everything from initial concept through to full productization.

As part of our analog design team, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on the development of analog semiconductor products — from schematic capture and layout, through simulation, characterization, and verification. It's a hands-on environment where you'll build real technical depth while contributing to products that ship at global scale.

Job Summary

We are looking for an Associate Engineer, Analog Design to join our analog engineering team.

In this entry-level role, you will support analog circuit design, testing, and characterization activities across the full development cycle.

You'll assist with schematic capture and layout, help develop basic analog blocks, run simulations, and support the bring-up and testing of analog circuits on the bench.

Working under the guidance of more senior engineers, you'll build the foundations of your analog design career while contributing meaningfully to live projects.

This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate — or an engineer early in their career — who wants to develop deep technical skills in analog design within a supportive, structured environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analog Design Support — Support analog circuit and component design; assist with schematic capture and layout; help develop basic analog blocks and functions; support simulation and modeling; maintain design documentation.
  • Circuit Testing and Characterization — Assist with testing and measurement activities; set up and operate lab equipment for analog characterization; collect performance data; support test fixture development and calibration.
  • Circuit Analysis and Verification — Support analysis of measurement data; assist with verifying circuit specifications; compare measured results against simulation; participate in troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Design Documentation and Data Management — Maintain analog design and test documentation; organize performance data; support revision control and design libraries.
  • Tool Support and Development — Support analog CAD tools and design environments; assist with analysis scripts, simulation models, and design automation.
  • Technical Learning and Development — Build your understanding of analog circuit principles, measurement techniques, and design methodologies through hands-on work and training.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in analog design, circuit engineering, or a related role.
  • Basic knowledge of analog circuits and electronics principles.
  • Experience with measurement equipment and circuit simulation.
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit schematics and specifications.

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with semiconductor technologies and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with circuit design tools, simulators, and test equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and analysis.
  • Good written and verbal technical communication skills.
  • A genuine willingness to learn and grow analog design expertise.

Why Join Us?

  • Work on real analog semiconductor products from day one, with mentorship from experienced designers.
  • Build broad technical skills across design, layout, simulation, and test.
  • Join a collaborative team that values curiosity and rewards initiative.
  • Be part of a global semiconductor company with the resources and reach to accelerate your career.

Career Growth Philosophy

At Semtech, we believe innovation starts with people. That's why we invest in mentorship, structured learning, and hands-on experience for engineers early in their careers.

As you grow, you'll take on greater ownership of designs and projects — supported every step of the way by a team that wants to see you succeed.

Join us, and start building the future of analog semiconductor design.
