About the role

The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for driving a high-performance culture by developing and implementing learning strategies that empower employees with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities to excel in their roles and contribute to our mission. Collaborating closely with leadership, this role ensures that learning and development initiatives support talent growth, performance improvement, and business success.

This role will develop a capability framework for each department, optimise our L&D platform, and translate real-life operational activities into engaging learning content for both new and existing employees. By building strong relationships across the business, they will identify training needs and design impactful programs that foster both personal and professional development, ensuring our teams have everything they need to succeed.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Leadership and develop L&D strategies that foster individual development and growth
  • Develop capability framework for each operating department to ensure teams have access to the tools required to do their jobs
  • Take ownership of our L&D platform and ensure it is optimised
  • Translate operating procedures and real-life operational activity into learning material for new and current employees
  • Build connections with each department to understand what training may benefit current and new employees
  • Create training programs that enhance both personal and professional development
What you’ll bring
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing learning and development initiatives (experience with Go1 is a bonus!)
  • Experience transferring operating procedures to training material using online authoring tools
  • Strong expertise in learning management systems and e-learning platforms
  • Proficiency in instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams
