About the role
Based out of our South Melbourne hub, as an Automotive Sales and Customer Assistant at Splend, you will be instrumental in driving sales and enhancing customer experiences by matching clients with the ideal vehicle subscription package. This role requires deep product knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, retail-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all Splend’s vehicle subscription packages and related products. Continuously update knowledge base with new features and updates to ensure accurate representation to customers.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and recommend products that best fit their requirements. Guide customers through the decision-making process, from initial inquiry to final sale.
  • Assist in daily hub operations, including customer onboarding, processing returns, and vehicle exchanges. Ensure all interactions and transactions are conducted smoothly and efficiently.
  • Gather customer feedback and share insights with the Team Leader to help refine sales strategies and product offerings. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss challenges and opportunities.
  • Adhere to all company policies and regulations regarding sales practices and customer interactions. Ensure the integrity of sales transactions and customer data.

What you'll bring

  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with customers.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High school diploma required; a degree in marketing, business, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience in a retail, sales, or customer service role is highly advantageous.
  • A passion for the automotive industry and vehicle technology (desirable).
  • A full unrestricted Australian Driver's License
  • Comfortable commuting to our South Melbourne hub daily
  • Able to work weekends as required
