About the role
The IT Support Engineer forms an important part in our technology set up. Based out of our Sydney CBD Head Office, the role will be responsible for a combination of IT support activities, including service desk support, process optimisation, system configuration, hardware and networks tasks, and business support.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and resolution of support requests related to hardware, software, vendor platforms, and networks, working closely with internal teams, our Managed Services Provider and other third parties as needed.
- Configuration of low-code and integration-based solutions, including in Entra ID and Azure
- Update and maintain user access matrix and key IT Operations documentation
- Project & process management and administration of hardware & networks backlog.
- Co-ordination / prioritisation of new hardware & network requests, e.g. infrastructure & network upgrades, hub refits, device replacements and upgrades.
- Support on preparation of budgets for IT Operations spend
- Provide internal first line of support for all cyber security activities, working closely with a dedicated cyber security team at our Managed Services Provider
- Provide regular reporting across key activities in all areas, including project summaries, resource allocation, budgets, incident logs, and other areas as required.
- Support Technology management team with vendor engagement and commercial negotiations
What you'll bring
- A background in IT support, IT operations, networks, or systems engineering roles
- Experience working in Microsoft Azure and Entra ID, Atlassian / Jira Service desk, low-code configuration tools such as PowerShell and other similar tools
- Excellent communication and co-ordination skills
- Experience working in a hybrid IT Operations environment with responsibilities shared across internal resources and an external Managed Services Provider
- Desirable: certifications in Azure, AWS, or cyber security
