Under the hood, we build systems to manage sourcing of cars, inspection, photography, merchandising, reconditioning, financing, insurance, shipping and many more. We are looking for an experienced and creative Director of Marketing to lead our marketing team and develop strategies to promote both new and used car sales in a fully online environment. As a company with no physical showrooms, the role requires expertise in digital marketing, customer acquisition, and brand management. The Marketing Director will also work closely with sales and external showroom partners to optimize our e-commerce performance and grow the brand across all markets.

Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive online car sales, including used cars, new cars through third-party showrooms, and fleet sales.
  • Lead and mentor the marketing team, ensuring that each member contributes to the company’s growth.
  • Align marketing strategies with overall business objectives and sales goals, collaborating with sales, operations, and customer service teams.

Digital Marketing & E-commerce Growth:

  • Design and execute digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels (SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, content marketing, etc.) to increase traffic, lead generation, and conversions.
  • Optimize the website and mobile app for user experience, ensuring a seamless car-buying journey from search to checkout.
  • Manage pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns, social media advertising, and partnerships with influencers to enhance brand visibility and drive leads

Brand Management & Positioning:

  • Build and maintain a strong, consistent brand presence across all digital and offline channels.
  • Ensure the company’s brand story is communicated effectively in all marketing materials, including website, social media, email campaigns, and advertising.
  • Monitor customer reviews and feedback, taking steps to enhance the company’s reputation and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Customer Acquisition & Retention:

  • Develop strategies to acquire new customers through paid and organic channels while also focusing on customer retention and loyalty.
  • Leverage data analytics to understand customer behavior, optimize conversion rates, and personalize marketing efforts.
  • Implement CRM strategies to nurture leads and manage customer relationships post-sale.

Market Research & Competitor Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, automotive marketing strategies, and the latest digital marketing innovations.
  • Analyze competitors’ marketing approaches and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Content Development & Management:

  • Oversee the creation of high-quality content, including blogs, videos, product descriptions, and other digital assets, to engage potential customers and educate them about the cars available for sale.
  • Manage content marketing efforts that highlight the unique features of the cars in inventory, especially refurbished used cars.

Market Research & Competitor Analysis:

  • Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and customer needs to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify potential opportunities and threats.

Budget Management & Reporting:

  • Manage the marketing department’s budget, allocating resources to maximize ROI on all marketing initiatives.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key marketing metrics, including website traffic, lead conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and ROI on campaigns.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis and campaign performance.

Public Relations & Communications:

  • Develop and execute public relations strategies to enhance brand awareness and attract positive media coverage.
  • Act as the company’s spokesperson for press releases, media interviews, and public events.
