About the Role

We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchant Onboarding Intern to join our Business Development team at Tabby. This role is perfect for university students or recent graduates who want to learn how fintech platforms scale merchant operations and ensure seamless onboarding experiences.

You’ll support the Merchant Onboarding team with new merchants, perform quality checks, assist in CRM and operational tasks, and gain practical exposure to cross-functional fintech workflows.

Key Responsibilities


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist in activating and verifying new merchants on the Tabby platform
  • Conduct quality checks on merchant websites and back office set ups (branding, integration accuracy, accessibility)
  • Support transaction testing and ensure backend readiness before merchants go live
  • Help manage CRM entries, reports, maintain lead records, and track onboarding stages
  • Monitor onboarding pipelines to identify potential drop-offs or delays
  • Shadow onboarding calls and support internal documentation of workflows
  • Collaborate with Business Development teams to improve process
  • Contribute to reports and analysis for weekly onboarding performance

What You’ll Learn
  • End-to-end merchant onboarding lifecycle in a fintech environment
  • Practical experience with CRM systems (e.g., Pipedrive)
  • Basics of quality assurance and configuration checks
  • How to analyze drop-off patterns and suggest workflow improvements per deal
  • Communication and collaboration with internal teams across functions
  • Understanding of KPIs and service excellence in digital operations

  • A current student or recent graduate in Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset
  • Organized, proactive, and curious about digital platforms

  • Comfortable using spreadsheets and CRM tools
  • Good communicator with a collaborative attitude
  • Interest in fintech, account management, sales, customer success, or operations
