About the role

A lot of great careers start in business development. It’s where you learn how money moves, how businesses grow and how to get a “yes” when it matters.

As a business development intern at Tabby, you’ll be on the front lines — reaching out to new merchants, sparking conversations and bringing them on board. Expect plenty of calls, emails and WhatsApps, plus the chance to sharpen your pitch, handle objections and close deals.

Do well here and it won’t just be an internship. It’s your fast track into a full-time role at the Middle East’s leading fintech.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and qualify new merchant leads in the UAE.
  • Reach out via phone, email and WhatsApp to pitch Tabby’s value proposition.
  • Support the team in managing leads through our CRM and closing sign-ups.
  • Learn and apply sales techniques: discovery, pitching, objection handling.
  • Work closely with the business development team on campaigns and outreach initiatives.

What we’re looking for

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). Arabic is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong communication skills — comfortable picking up the phone and talking to merchants.
  • A commercial mindset: curious about how businesses grow and what drives sales.
  • Self-starter, motivated, and eager to learn.
  • Recent graduate or student looking to kick off a career in business or sales.
