About the role

Tabby Capital is Tabby's B2B lending product, providing working capital solutions to merchants and business partners across the UAE. With partnerships and product strategy handled at the leadership level, we are looking for an execution-focused Portfolio Manager to own the day-to-day operations of the portfolio across both markets — ensuring performance, managing risk, and keeping our lending and channel partnerships running smoothly.

This is a hands-on role at the intersection of credit, operations, compliance, and commercial execution. You will work closely with internal teams (product, risk, finance, legal, sales) and external partners (private credit funds, channel partners) to drive portfolio health and business results across two regulated markets.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day portfolio operations
  • Run the operational engine of Tabby Capital across UAE — maintaining process, cadence, and quality across all workstreams
  • Track and report on the Tabby Capital P&L on a regular basis, flagging performance variances and supporting remediation
  • Monitor key lending metrics: utilisation, repayment rates, delinquency, loss rates, and yield
  • Maintain portfolio-level reporting for internal stakeholders and lending partners in both markets
  • Own the operational playbook for each market, accounting for local differences in partner structure, regulation, and customer behaviour

Lending & private credit fund partnerships
  • Serve as the operational point of contact for existing private credit fund partners and lending facilities
  • Coordinate on drawdowns, repayments, reporting obligations, and covenant compliance
  • Lead onboarding of new lending partners as directed by leadership

Channel partner management
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with channel partners responsible for origination and distribution across UAE
  • Track partner performance against agreed targets and escalate issues proactively
  • Coordinate with the sales team to align demand generation with portfolio capacity in each market

Risk oversight & collection
  • Monitor collections activity in coordination with the risk and operations teams
  • Flag emerging risk and collections patterns across either market and work with relevant teams on remediation

Legal, compliance & regulatory
  • Act as the primary business-side point of contact for legal and compliance on all regulatory asks related to Tabby Capital
  • Coordinate responses to regulatory queries, audits, and information requests from relevant authorities in the UAE
  • Ensure all lending operations, partner agreements, and reporting practices remain compliant with applicable regulations in each market
  • Work with legal to maintain up-to-date documentation across partner contracts, facility agreements, and compliance frameworks
  • Stay informed of regulatory developments in both markets that could affect the lending product, and flag these to leadership

Product collaboration
  • Act as the business-side point of contact for the product team on Tabby Capital features
  • Gather operational feedback from partners and internal teams; translate into actionable product inputs
  • Support UAT and rollout of new product features

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 4–7 years of experience in lending, credit, structured finance, or a related B2B financial services role
  • Strong operational instinct — energised by execution, follow-through, and getting things done across multiple markets simultaneously
  • Comfort working with financial data: P&L analysis, portfolio metrics, credit reporting
  • Experience managing or coordinating with external partners (lenders, funds, or distribution partners)
  • Familiarity with credit risk concepts; prior exposure to collections or delinquency management is a plus
  • Experience interfacing with legal and compliance teams on regulatory matters; familiarity with UAE and/or KSA financial regulations is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills — able to represent Tabby credibly with sophisticated financial partners and regulators
  • Prior fintech or BNPL experience is advantageous but not required

What success looks like in year one:
  • Portfolio health - Key metrics (repayment, delinquency, yield, revenue, profitability) across UAE are tracked, reported, and within target bands
  • Partner confidence - Lending and channel partners in both markets regard Tabby Capital as a reliable, well-organised counterpart
  • Operational rhythm - Reporting, reviews, and partner check-ins run on a consistent cadence without heroics
  • Regulatory standing - Legal and compliance obligations across both markets are met on time; no surprises
  • Product feedback loop - Product team receives timely, well-articulated operational input from the business

A note on scope:

Partnerships strategy and product roadmap direction are handled at the leadership level. This role is designed for someone who thrives on owning the execution layer managing the portfolio across two markets, keeping partners healthy, meeting regulatory obligations, and ensuring the operational engine of Tabby Capital runs reliably. There is meaningful room to grow as the product scales.
