Job Title: Client Relationship Manager
Reports to: Manager, Client Success
Department: Partner Success
Duration: Full-time (flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends)
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 Base Annual Salary (commensurate with experience) plus performance-based bonus opportunities.

Job Summary:

As a Client Relationship Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for partner clients, supporting them throughout the full engagement lifecycle from job submission through e-filing. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless client experiences, maintaining strong relationships, and driving successful outcomes for both our partners and their end clients. This role requires strong client management skills, problem-solving ability, and a working knowledge of tax or accounting concepts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with assigned taxpayer clients, serving as their trusted point of contact.
  • Guide clients through the full engagement process, ensuring smooth job submission, processing, and e-filing.
  • Monitor account activity to proactively identify issues, address concerns, and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the Partner Experience and internal support teams to deliver a seamless, consistent client journey.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and outcomes in CRM systems.
  • Track and report on key client performance metrics to support team and organizational goals.
  • Escalate complex or high-priority issues to the Manager, Client Success while maintaining ownership of communication with the client.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Customer-centric mindset with empathy, active listening, and a solutions-oriented approach.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of client relationship, account management, or customer success experience — within tech, SaaS, finance, or tax a plus but not required.
  • Foundational knowledge of tax, accounting, or financial services strongly preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and manage client expectations.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proficiency in CRMs and customer success platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends during peak season (Jan - April).
