About Us:
Taxfyle is a technology-enabled tax platform trusted by leading fintech companies. Our partners embed Taxfyle so their customers can have their taxes prepared by licensed professionals. We operate a marketplace of vetted CPAs and EAs alongside our own AI-powered tax preparation technology. Headquartered in Coconut Grove, Florida, Taxfyle is a fast-moving technology company focused on making professional tax services more accessible. Our engineering team builds tools and automation that streamline our processes, so both our Partner Success team, which oversees client relationships, and the clients we serve enjoy a smooth, seamless experience.
Role Summary:
We are seeking a Partner Success Engineer to join our Partner Success team and help shape how the team operates as Taxfyle grows. This role will partner closely with Partner Success to identify manual, time-intensive workflows and design software solutions that improve them, including AI agents, automations, internal tools, and data pipelines. The Partner Success Engineer will work directly alongside the team, deliver improvements quickly, gather feedback, and refine solutions over time. The role combines the hands-on product sense of a forward deployed engineer with the systems thinking of an operations team.
This position is well suited for early-career engineers, including recent graduates, bootcamp graduates, and career-changers with a portfolio of shipped projects. The Partner Success Engineer will own production systems from the first month, receive direct mentorship from senior engineers on Taxfyle’s AI and automation initiatives, and have a clear path for growth into forward deployed, AI, or product engineering roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Shadow Partner Success to map their workflows, and pick the highest-leverage ones to automate
- Build and improve AI agents that handle relationship-manager tasks: client follow-ups, status updates, escalations and ticket classification
- Write evals and review loops so we know when an agent is right, when it's wrong, and when a human should step in
- Automate partner reporting and job audits using our data in BigQuery and dbt
- Build lightweight internal tools and dashboards the team uses every day
- Wire our systems together through APIs: our platform, ticketing, messaging and the data warehouse
- Use Claude Code and similar AI coding tools as a core part of how you build
- Write up what you shipped and what it saved, so the wins are visible
Requirements:
- 0–2 years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent hands-on project experience.
- Working proficiency in Python or TypeScript, and comfort writing SQL.
- Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs or agent frameworks, through professional, academic, or personal projects.
- Regular use of AI coding tools, and a practical sense of where they help and where they fall short.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language to non-technical teammates.
- Ability to work closely with end users, gather feedback, and iterate quickly on what’s built.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working through ambiguous, loosely defined problems to a working solution.
- Sound judgment and attention to detail when handling sensitive client and financial data.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced technology company where processes and responsibilities evolve as the organization grows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a customer-facing, support, or operations role.
- Familiarity with BigQuery, dbt, or another data warehouse stack.
- Experience with ticketing or CRM tools and their APIs.
- Interest in fintech, tax, or financial services.
