Key Job Responsibilities
Join us in architecting and leading the infrastructure that powers revolutionary services forming the bedrock of the world's supply chain. As a Senior Trax DevOps Engineer, you will:
- Tackle critical infrastructure challenges that traverse various technologies and teams, delving deep into technical complexities such as scalability, resilience, and reliability to craft holistic automated solutions.
- Deliver high-quality infrastructure and automation work- you set a high bar for infrastructure design, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and deployment processes-and set the standard for excellence within the team.
- Navigate the terrain of technology decisions with finesse, balancing immediate operational needs with long-term scalability goals, ensuring our infrastructure remains ahead of the curve.
- Become a mentor for your teammates, imparting wisdom on DevOps best practices and nurturing their growth in infrastructure automation and cloud technologies.
- Lead the design and implementation of complex automated deployment pipelines, infrastructure as
code, and comprehensive monitoring solutions that enable rapid, reliable software delivery at scale.
- Collaborate closely with diverse teams, synergizing efforts to reach ambitious technical milestones and drive architectural decisions.

Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional network engineering or infrastructure experience
- Expert knowledge of network protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VPN, and routing technologies
- Proven experience in network architecture analysis, design, and optimization for enterprise environments
- Advanced skills in network diagramming and documentation tools (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar)
- Experience with network performance analysis and capacity planning methodologies
- Strong understanding of network troubleshooting and root cause analysis techniques
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and network resource provisioning
- Proficiency with Ansible for network configuration management and automation
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for network configuration deployment (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar)
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) for network configuration management
- Experience with automated testing and validation of network configurations
- Deep knowledge of AWS networking services: VPC, Route 53, CloudFront, Load Balancers, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway
- Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud networking architectures
- Understanding of containerized environments and Kubernetes networking concepts
- Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for presenting network assessments and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead technical projects and collaborate effectively across teams
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and sharing technical knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Network Engineering, or related technical field
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty certification
- Network vendor certifications (Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Juniper, etc.)
- Advanced experience with network monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar)
- Knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV)
- Experience with network security tools and vulnerability assessment methodologies
- Familiarity with network automation frameworks and testing tools
- Understanding of zero-trust network architecture principles
- Experience with SIEM solutions (Splunk, ELK stack) for network security monitoring
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for enterprise network security
