The Senior Solutions Engineer is responsible for identifying new client revenue opportunities and contributing to sales strategies while ensuring the necessary support infrastructure is in place to achieve the desired results. The role focuses on pre-sales and architecture, leveraging the Microsoft Security Ecosystem toolset as required and Microsoft Security Certifications as preferred. Sales engineers in this global practice act as technology and solution advisors with pragmatic expertise in security domains. They should credibly discuss the security landscape, architectural models, and solutions while engaging senior client stakeholders. The Senior Solutions Engineer requires deep knowledge and experience in one or more of the following domains: MDR, MXDR, Microsoft Security, Managed Security Services, Incident Response, Security Consulting Services, and Threat Detection. This role involves delivering workshops, participating in pre-sales and consulting engagements, and leading solution design and deployment projects. Expertise in solution design methodologies and generating high-quality artifacts, such as requirements documents, high-level and detailed designs, and deployment plans, is essential.

Domain Skills

  • In-depth expertise in at least two core domains: MDR, XDR, Managed Security Services, Network Security, Endpoint Security, Security Consulting, Incident Response, Threat Detection, and Managed Security solutions. (Defender MXDR and Cyber Reason Preferred)
  • Comprehensive understanding of security technologies and their interrelationships.
  • Experience in structured solution design methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in sales calls, deliver product demonstrations, and engage prospects at technical and business levels.
  • Demonstrate customer-centric selling skills to drive revenue.
  • Serve as a technical resource at trade shows and conferences.
  • Strategise with sales teams to develop new business opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of pre-sales experience in at least two core domains: MDR, XDR, Managed Security Services, Network Security, Endpoint Security, Security Consulting, Incident Response, SIEM, and Threat Detection.
  • Proven leadership with the ability to manage expectations effectively.
  • Strong technical knowledge of incident response, computer forensics, network, and endpoint security.
  • Minimum 5 years of consulting or sales engineering experience in cybersecurity-related fields.
  • Ability to engage with customers at all levels, including C-level executives.
  • Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally if needed.
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Or: 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • 5+ years of pre-sales experience in the specified core domains.
  • Experience with Microsoft Security tools, including Microsoft Defender and Sentinel.
  • Knowledge of SIEM technologies (e.g., Sentinel ,Splunk, LogRhythm,).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance standards, such as SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, SOCI Act, ISM, and Essential Eight.
  • Professional certifications, such as CISSP or relevant Microsoft Security Certifications.
Education

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college or university degree is a plus.
