Director, National Intelligence Accounts – Sales
Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
Reporting to: VP, Public Sector Sales
Travel: Up to 30–40% (as required for customer and partner engagements)
Security Requirement: U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain applicable U.S. Government security clearance
About the Role
The Director of National Intelligence Accounts – Sales is a senior individual contributor responsible for driving revenue growth and strategic expansion across the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) and select National Security customers. This role owns executive-level relationships, leads complex sales cycles, and positions advanced cybersecurity solutions to address mission-critical intelligence and national security challenges.
This position is designed for a seasoned seller who operates as a trusted advisor to senior government and contractor stakeholders, understands classified and unclassified environments, and can navigate long, highly complex procurement cycles. The Director will work closely with Sales Engineering, Product, Channel Partners, and Executive Leadership to execute account strategies and close high-impact opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of National Intelligence and Intelligence Community accounts, including net-new and existing customers.
- Develop and execute multi-year account strategies aligned to customer mission priorities, budget cycles, and acquisition vehicles.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships across government customers, prime contractors, system integrators, and strategic partners.
- Lead complex, solution-based sales engagements involving managed security services, advanced threat detection, and cybersecurity platforms.
- Drive opportunity identification, qualification, and pursuit through the full sales lifecycle, from pipeline development to contract close.
- Coordinate internal resources (Sales Engineering, Product Specialists, Legal, Contracts, and Leadership) to deliver differentiated solutions.
- Accurately forecast revenue, manage pipeline hygiene, and report on progress using CRM tools.
- Stay current on intelligence community initiatives, cyber threat trends, and federal acquisition strategies to inform go-to-market execution.
- Represent the company at industry events, classified briefings (as applicable), and customer forums.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of enterprise or public sector sales experience, with significant focus on National Intelligence, DoD, or classified accounts.
- Demonstrated success selling cybersecurity, IT services, or complex technology solutions into government or intelligence environments.
- Proven ability to manage large, multi-million-dollar quotas and close high-value, long-cycle deals.
- Strong understanding of federal procurement, contract vehicles, and partner ecosystems.
- Experience engaging and influencing CXO-level and Senior Government Executives.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to operate independently with high accountability while collaborating across matrixed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting Intelligence Community agencies or National Security programs.
- Existing relationships with IC customers, primes, or integrators.
- Familiarity with classified sales environments and compliance requirements.
- Active or previously held U.S. Government security clearance.
