About the RoleWe are a high-growth cybersecurity startup seeking a hands-on and proactive Senior Accountant to help build and scale our accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and has experience with NetSuite. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting, while also helping to establish processes and controls from the ground up and help strengthen our accounting operations as we scale.Key ResponsibilitiesMonth-End Close & General Accounting Own key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesPrepare and review journal entries, run month-end Billing process, perform analytical review of monthly performanceReporting actual results against targets and providing insightful commentary into the variances and growthOther adhoc responsibilities as required Monthly forecasting and budget Maintain monthly revenue details Collaborate with sales and consulting teams to update and refine rolling revenue pipeline and forecastsSupport annual budgeting process Audit & Compliance Support annual financial audits, including preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring timely completionAssist with internal controls documentation and process improvements to strengthen financial governance Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner with HR, FP&A, Procurement, and outsourced accounting firms to ensure accurate financial data and alignment across teamsSupport process automation and system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA‑eligible preferred3–7+ years of financial accounting and management accounting experience, ideally in SaaS, technology, or cybersecurityStrong hands-on experience with NetSuite preferredExperience with multi-entity and intercompany accountingIntermediate-Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasetsSelf-starter with the ability to operate independently in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities Preferred Experience Commercial finance mind-set and the ability to support and build relationships with key stakeholders to help aid decision makingAnalytical mindset, ability to work well with manual spreadsheets and unstructured problem solvingHave excellent communication skills, commercial accounting skills and business acumenSaaS or cybersecurity industry experience preferred but not essential Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA‑eligible preferred This role is open to candidates legally authorized to work in Australia.
