LevelBlue combines AI-powered security operations, advanced threat intelligence, and elite human expertise to provide the most comprehensive portfolio of strategic advisory, managed security, offensive security, and incident response services.LevelBlue is seeking a Director, Revenue Accounting & Consolidation to lead revenue accounting, the close and consolidation process, financial reporting, audit readiness, and accounting-process improvement across a growing, multi-entity global business.This role will serve as the internal accounting leader for LevelBlue’s finance stabilization and transformation agenda. The Director will be accountable for resolving historical revenue-accounting and contract-data matters; establishing repeatable, controlled processes; and partnering with Finance Operations, Finance Systems, Tax, Legal, business leaders, and external advisors to embed sustainable outcomes into ongoing operations. The role is a hands-on leadership position requiring sound technical judgment, strong execution discipline, and the ability to operate effectively amid incomplete data and evolving systems.Key Responsibilities Own revenue accounting under ASC 606, including contract review, identification of performance obligations, standalone selling-price considerations, revenue recognition, deferred-revenue accounting, and related controls.Lead the accounting work required to complete and sustain FY24/FY25 remediation, including customer-to-contract, contract-to-billing, billing-to-revenue, cash-to-AR, and revenue-to-GL reconciliations; deferred-revenue rollforwards; and appropriately supported accounting adjustments.Establish a timely, repeatable monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including close calendars, account reconciliations, review controls, issue escalation, and documentation standards.Lead multi-entity consolidation, including entity reporting packages, intercompany accounting and eliminations, foreign-entity coordination, and consolidated financial reporting support.Serve as Controllership’s business owner for consolidation-process design and finance transformation initiatives, including business requirements, accounting design, testing, user acceptance, parallel close, control design, and adoption for any systems upgrades.Partner with Finance Systems and IT on data flows, master-data requirements, source-of-truth standards, and the NetSuite/ERP integration roadmap; Finance Systems and IT retain responsibility for technical solution design and implementation.Partner with Finance Operations, which owns invoicing and collections execution, to ensure billing, AR, contract, and cash data support complete and accurate accounting and revenue recognition.Lead audit readiness, including PBC coordination, accounting memoranda, support for audit requests, remediation of audit findings, and delivery against the external-audit and statutory-reporting calendar.Support accounting for acquisitions and integrations, including purchase accounting, opening-balance-sheet activities, accounting-policy harmonization, entity onboarding, and post-close reporting integration.Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures, including intercompany processes and coordination with Tax on transfer-pricing requirements.Direct and develop accounting team members; set clear accountability, build capabilities, and reduce key-person dependencies.Manage and challenge external advisors: define accounting requirements, review analyses and recommendations, approve accounting conclusions, and ensure work products are fully documented and operationalized. Accountability SplitThis Role Owns Revenue-recognition conclusions and revenue-accounting resultsDeferred-revenue accounting and revenue-related reconciliationsClose-process execution, accounting controls, and issue escalationConsolidation-process ownership, including intercompany accounting and eliminationsAccounting-policy decisions and supporting documentationAudit support, PBC ownership, and remediation of accounting findingsAccounting requirements, testing, validation, and adoption for remediation and transformation initiativesSustainable process ownership after external support concludes Finance Transformation Office Owns Program governance and integrated workplan managementExecutive reporting and transformation portfolio oversightCross-functional milestone, dependency, risk, and issue managementCoordination across workstreams and external providers Finance Operations Owns Billing, invoicing, cash application, collections, and operational AR executionOperational customer and transaction data required to support accounting Finance Systems and IT Own Technical architecture, system configuration, integrations, data engineering, and production supportTechnical implementation of NetSuite, OneStream, and related platforms External Consultants Own Agreed remediation-project execution, data analysis, reconciliations, process assessments, and supporting documentationTechnical accounting recommendations and implementation support, subject to LevelBlue approval Qualifications Active CPA required.12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant leadership responsibility in a complex, multi-entity environment.Deep ASC 606, contract accounting, deferred revenue, close, consolidation, and intercompany-accounting experience.Demonstrated success leading historical accounting cleanup or remediation while designing sustainable processes and controls.Strong external-audit management experience, including PBC coordination, audit issue resolution, and preparation of technical accounting support.Experience with acquisitions, purchase accounting, opening-balance-sheet activities, and integration of acquired entities strongly preferred.Experience working across multiple legal entities and international operations; exposure to statutory reporting and transfer-pricing coordination preferred.NetSuite experience strongly preferred; OneStream or comparable consolidation/EPM implementation experience preferred.Private-equity-backed, acquisitive, or rapidly transforming-company experience strongly preferred.Big Four or comparable public-accounting experience preferred.Proven ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional partners, and make sound decisions in a high-accountability environment.
