We're looking for an energetic cook who loves creating delicious meals that make guests' vacations unforgettable! Compensation

  • $17.50 / hour. Actual pay will vary based on a candidate's skill, experience, education and/or location.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare all food and set the assigned area for on-time opening, ensuring the assigned area is fully equipped with product, equipment, tools, etc. necessary to properly execute incoming orders.
  • Perform all cooking tasks in compliance with company standards and approved recipes to achieve excellent guest service and satisfaction.
  • Properly fill orders placed by servers, doing so in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner.
  • Ensure that the kitchen area, walk-ins, freezers and all its equipment are clean and in proper working condition and ensure proper rotation of perishable products.
  • Properly follow all health department requirements and make sure all products are stored and kept in a safe and sanitary fashion.
  • Address service staff concerns promptly and appropriately to ensure guests leave the restaurant satisfied.
  • Follow all opening and closing procedures and checklists. Perform all necessary cleaning assignments.
  • Assist in the training of new personnel and ensure that new employees are fully oriented to proper procedures and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned because every day is different in hospitality!

Skills + Qualifications

  • Experience working in hotel, hospitality, vacation or similar industry is highly preferred.
  • 1 year of recent cooking experience preferred, preferably in a high volume operation.
  • State specific food handler permit as required.
  • Serve Safe Certification a plus.
  • Dependable and prepared. Showing up on time and ready to go is key to creating great stays for our guests and peace of mind for our homeowners.
  • Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • Comfortable talking to people—online or in person—and being able to share information in a way that’s clear, thoughtful, and represents the company in a positive way always.

Workplace Environment + Physical Requirement

  • Work may take place indoors or outdoors, in a variety of resort kitchen settings including pool service areas — often in varying weather conditions.
  • We’re in hospitality and our schedules can change based on guest and homeowner needs. Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. We require flexibility to support this.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to move freely (balancing, climbing, crawling, driving, squatting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive hand/finger motions) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance.
