Reporting
You will report to the Chief Revenue Officer based in Sydney.
Location
The role is located at our stunning office at The Commons in Sydney, and requires a minimum of 3 days each week at the office.
Job Summary
The Sales Manager is a master of initiating and fostering relationships with stakeholders in key client accounts. Leading by example, they are adept at uncovering opportunities for Vamp to solve customer needs and are highly competent at managing end-to-end deal workflows with enterprise level organizations. They are a seasoned people leader and know how to coach and energize a commercially-focused team to achieve ambitious results. They are ultimately responsible for Vamp’s success in growing long-yielding client partnerships and establishing new partnerships with well aligned businesses.
Key responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Overall ownership of Vamp’s Australian Sales team (current team: 3 direct reports based in Sydney).
- Supporting the team in developing and executing comprehensive annual (and ongoing) Account Plans to nurture and grow existing partnerships and revenue across brand direct, agency and partners.
- Guide prospective Account Plans for targeted new business accounts
- Deliver against your team’s overall revenue targets by overseeing Vamp’s strategies and engagement plans with target accounts and constantly looking to enhance customer value.
- Review and refine target client lists ensuring the team is focused on the right businesses.
- Regularly review account health, escalating product dependencies and risks to leadership.
- Drive a culture of knowledge sharing and best practices amongst your team, and across Vamp globally.
Account Planning
- Ensure that detailed account plans are created for each account across your/your team’s portfolio, focusing on the core strategies and objectives that will both deliver against projected spend targets and customer satisfaction goals across the course of the relationship.
- Define and lead key activities that will allow Vamp to expand within a customer’s business - into new brands, departments and new budget holders within the account
- Conduct and oversee stakeholder mapping and play a key role in senior stakeholder relationship management across the region.
- Become a trusted advisor to clients and their teams. Document our plan to establish relationships with senior decision-makers.
- Become an “expert” on the customer’s overall marketing ecosystem and identify where Vamp can offer long-term value- e.g. through product integration, development and services.
- Update account plans as needed to capture evolving customer business needs and ensure we are tracking positively toward contract renewal.
Revenue Acquisition
- Deliver the following tasks for your own target accounts, and oversee them for your team:-
- Initiating relationships with pre-qualified businesses by deeply understanding their influencer marketing needs, uncovering pain points and educating them on how to drive business improvement.
- Selling based on the value and ROI that Vamp can deliver, and partnering with team members across the customer organization to ensure this is understood (e.g. commercial, customer success, finance).
Client Delivery
- Ensure all Delivery handover processes are followed to enable the CSM and CM function
- Oversee delivery standards and customer experience for our customers, via the Head of Customer Enablement
- Act as a “voice of the customer” advocate and advisor to the Product/Engineering team and advocate for product changes, enhancements, bug resolution, etc.
Representing Vamp In Market
- Be a champion for Vamp internally and externally - building credibility and trust and reinforcing our thought leadership position around influencer marketing.
- Proactively drive engagement with platform partners e.g. TikTok, Meta and YouTube.
- Ensure team attendance at key industry events throughout the year, leveraging sponsorship and award entry opportunities where applicable to ensure Vamp is present and recognised.
- Oversee team execution of events such as roundtables, co-hosted events with partners, AiMCO etc.
- Work with Vamp’s design team, product team and CRO to deliver and roll out best-in-class sales materials and narratives.
Reporting & CRM
- Own your team’s pipeline and forecasting processes, delivering high standards of accuracy
- Ensure HubSpot customer and activity records are complete and include all information required to understand overall arc of customer relationship and key next steps
