Location

The role of Senior Software Engineer is located at our stunning office at The Commons in Sydney, and requires a minimum of 1 day a fortnight at the office.

Job Summary

This role is for a senior full stack software engineer to join our high-growth influencer marketing scale up. Operating in one of the most exciting and fast-moving industries, this role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building new features and uplifting existing ones. Vamp is entering an exciting stage of fully transitioning to a product led company and you’ll be part of a team that is leading the transformation.

Who You Are

• 4+ years of experience in web application development
• Experience building with React and React Native
• Experience working with Elixir is ideal but not essential
• Experience working with server side frameworks, eg: Ruby on Rails, PHP, etc
• Experience with SQL databases, eg: MySQL, Postgres, etc
• Good understanding of TDD
• Some knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Some experience integrating AI solutions to platforms is ideal but not essential

Key responsibilities

While no two days are the same, your key responsibilities will be:

Technical

• Developing new features and iterating on existing features in Vamp’s application server, web applications and mobile application
• Integrating with third party tools and APIs so the platform can leverage existing solutions for social, payments, AI and other functions
• Continually maintaining and optimising Vamp’s codebase
• Triaging and resolving platform bugs

Analytical

• Working closely with Product and Design functions to help define scope and business requirements
• Completing technical analysis of feature design and architecture
• Comparing alternative technical approaches or third party solutions
• Contributing ideas on improving the engineering team’s development process

People

• Working independently and as part of an agile team
• Mentoring more junior members of the team
• Participating in our internal knowledge sharing sessions
