Vena is searching for an HR Business Partner to join the team on a 12-month Contract basis. As an HR Business Partner at Vena, you will be a strategic advisor to the business on all things people. In this role, you will provide coaching and counsel to your functional stakeholders on their people matters, support them in implementing people and leadership best practices, and foster a high performance and inclusive culture
How You'll Make An Impact
- Align with business leaders in the planning and execution of overall business strategies, and advise on people-related contributions, solutions, implications and risks of proposed business initiatives
- Provide both hands-on support and strategic guidance in areas including coaching/development, organizational design, succession planning, talent assessment and development, compensation, employee relations, etc
- Support leaders in the creation of a high-performance culture. Be the expert, conduit and coach as it relates to talent, performance, and change management
- Partner closely with the People team and leadership across the business to ensure programs developed connect back to the needs of the business and employees
- Lead the implementation, communication, and adoption of HR programs and initiatives to aligned business groups
- Collaborate with the People team and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective onboarding & offboarding of Vena employees
- Uphold our organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion by fostering an engaging and inclusive culture and work environment
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance
- 4+ years of HR experience overall, with at least 2 years as an HRBP, in a fast-paced, high performing organization
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand business and budgetary conditions, link HR and business strategy, and identify ways to improve business performance
- Skilled at identifying and assessing current organizational capabilities: building what’s required, shaping and supporting culture, and aligning organizational programs to reinforce a world-class work environment
- Experience in leadership coaching and development, as well as overall talent management and assessment including high-potential identification & development
- Build relationships, trust, and credibility with leaders and employees across an organization
- Excellent organizational skills; managing and prioritizing multiple projects and tasks on an ongoing basis
- Interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence and partner across all levels of the organization
- You are capable of being flexible and nimble within a changing organization
- You have strong working knowledge of Canadian employment law
- Interest in AI and willingness to explore AI-driven solutions to enhance performance and drive efficiencies
- Experience in a high-growth technology organization is preferred
- An understanding of US & UK employment law is preferred
