Position Snapshot

Take the lead in finance! We're looking for a Financial Controller to oversee accounting operations, manage a small team, and drive financial excellence. You'll handle year-end reporting, audits, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring strong internal controls and continuous improvement.

Success in this role requires strong accounting expertise, sharp analytical skills, and the ability to communicate financial insights effectively.

What Sets you apart!

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller with 2–4 years in a similar role within a commercial organisation. You should have a strong background in accounting operations, financial reporting, and audit processes, with a deep understanding of Accounting Standards and compliance requirements. Experience in preparing direct and indirect tax returns, ensuring lodgement deadlines are met, and managing corporate budgets and rolling forecasts is essential.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of delivering practical and sustainable solutions in a constantly evolving environment. You should be able to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, even when managing conflicting interests and priorities.

Leadership is key in this role, and we’re looking for someone who promotes inclusive practices, has proven coaching and mentoring skills, and upholds high ethical standards. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial information in both verbal and written formats.

We need someone who thrives in both autonomous and team-based environments, including remote work settings. Confidentiality, proactive thinking, and a solutions-focused mindset are critical to success in this role.
