About Filestack
Filestack provides a powerful content ingestion and file handling platform that enables developers and businesses to upload, transform, and deliver files at scale. We power mission-critical workflows across industries like edtech,
marketplaces, and enterprise SaaS.We’re at an inflection point, shifting from a self-serve, SMB-heavy motion to
a more focused, enterprise and mid-market go-to-market strategy. This role is critical in helping us win and expand higher-value customers.

The Role

You will be the technical backbone of the sales process, helping prospects understand how Filestack fits into complex architectures, accelerating time-to-first-value, and removing technical friction in deals. You’ll work directly with sales, product, and engineering to:
  • Close new business
  • Improve activation (first API call → production usage)
  • Influence product direction based on real customer needs

What You’ll Do
1. Drive Technical Wins in Sales Cycles
  • Partner with AEs on mid-market and enterprise deals
  • Lead technical discovery (APIs, architecture, workflows)
  • Run tailored demos based on customer use cases (not generic walk throughs)
  • Own POCs and trials to ensure prospects reach “aha moment” quickly
2. Improve Activation & Time-to-Value
  • Help new customers go from signup → first API call → production
  • Identify friction in onboarding and provide feedback to product/engineering
  • Create lightweight implementation guides and reference architectures
3. Own Proof of Concepts (POCs)
  • Design and build working prototypes using Filestack APIs
  • Validate performance, scalability, and integration requirements
  • De-risk deals by proving real-world feasibility
4. Bridge Sales, Product, and Engineering
  • Translate customer requirements into product insights
  • Surface patterns (e.g., document workflows in edtech, media ingestion, etc.)
  • Influence roadmap based on revenue-impacting gaps
5. Build Scalable Technical Assets
  • Reusable demo environments
  • Sample apps / code snippets
  • Vertical-specific use case playbooks (e.g., edtech, marketplaces)

What We’re Looking For
Must-Have
  • 3–7+ years as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Developer Advocate
  • Strong experience with APIs, SDKs, and developer tools
  • Ability to read/write code (JavaScript, Python, Go, React or similar)
  • Experience working with: REST APIs, Frontend frameworks (React/Vue) and Cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Comfortable in technical conversations with engineers AND business stakeholders
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with: File uploads, media processing, or content pipelines; AND CDN, storage, or edge delivery concepts
  • Background in developer-first companies (Twilio, Stripe, Cloudinary, etc.)
  • Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles ($25K–$100K+ deals)

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
  • Independently run technical discovery and demos
  • Help close 2–3 key deals by removing technical blockers
  • Improve activation rate (signup → first API call)
  • Deliver at least one reusable demo or POC template
  • Identify top 3 friction points in onboarding/implementation
